Film Lighting Hire & Gaffer Hire in Essex
London Lighting provides professional film lighting hire, lighting equipment hire, production lighting and location lighting across Essex and the wider UK. From our East London base we dispatch experienced gaffers, sparks and lighting technicians — with full lighting equipment and van packages — to music videos, commercials, film, television and branded productions shooting throughout the county.
Essex is one of the UK's most diverse shooting hubs, combining open agricultural skies, tidal estuaries, historic Georgian country houses and heavy industrial ports along the Thames Gateway. Whether you're filming at a converted warehouse stage in Chelmsford, a coastal shoot in Southend, or a heritage estate near Brentwood, we build the lighting package around your production.
Film Lighting, Equipment & Crew Hire
Film & Production Lighting Hire
We supply high-output daylight punch, soft key sources, pixel-mapped tubes, HMIs and full grip and textiles for productions shooting across Essex. Kit arrives pre-loaded in our vans — ready for single-day music videos, multi-day commercial campaigns or feature film exterior night shoots.
Lighting Equipment Hire
Hire professional lighting equipment from our inventory: Godox F600Bi and Aputure Nova soft lights, Aputure 1200c and 600d/c hard punch with 1.2K HMIs, Astera Titan tubes and Aputure MC accent fixtures, Kupo stands, 8x8 and 12x12 frames, magic cloth, silk and ultrabounce. Silent battery power and wireless CRMX DMX control included. Dry-hire or with a gaffer crew.
Gaffer, Spark & Lighting Crew Hire
Engage an experienced gaffer with sparks, best boys and riggers — crew only or with full equipment and transport. Our lighting crew work seamlessly with your DP across commercials, music videos and drama, fluent in wireless control, silent battery power and heritage-venue rigging.
Location Lighting
Essex locations range from delicate heritage estates like Hylands House to exposed coastal shoots at Tilbury and Southend. We use non-invasive grip, floor protection and gentle bounce setups for historic interiors, and IP65-rated weather-sealed punch lights with heavy sandbagging for coastal and industrial night work.
Music Video & Commercial Lighting
Pixel-mapped Astera tubes, moving heads and atmospheric haze for fast-paced music videos across multiple Essex locations in a day. For commercials, precision diffusion and immaculate specular control for automotive, fashion and broadcast advertising.
Lighting Packages
Tailored lighting packages rather than a fixed list — pair an Aputure 1200c key with soft sources, Astera tubes, full grip and textiles, and a silent battery for off-grid locations. Delivered in a single van with a gaffer and spark, or dry-hire only.
